Random Thoughts: Help nurses

As a nurse, and nurse practitioner, I have seen how the lack of medical insurance can affect families.
There are solutions available for this problem. Nurse practitioners are proven to provide quality, safe and cost-effective care. We need health care reform, as well as tort reform, and we need to work collectively to form partnerships to provide care to all citizens of this country.
Removing restrictions of practice for nurse practitioners is one way to work together to create an affordable health care system for everyone.

It is apparent that columnist Leonard Pitts is confused - as is Anita Dunn, White House communications director - on what is news and what is opinion (Column, "Why mistrust Fox? Let me count the ways," Monday). In claiming Fox News is not a credible news source, he cites, in part, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity. They all are hosts of opinion shows, not news shows.
Dunn attacked Fox News in almost the same misguided manner.
